Description
My old school gave us some art supplies but I left them alone for more than a year. This is my second attempt at using the scraperboards. The cat is my own design, inspired by Martin Toonder's work and the background is based on a photo of Venice by Carlo Ponti.
Next I am going to try the oil pastels.

I think it's really fun to work with the scrapeboards, though somehow I always get a creepy feeling over the pictures I try to make..

Thank you.
I don't know exactly how long it took because I worked with it on and off, to be specific while I was waiting for my computer to start /react. All in all, maybe four hours.

This is really good i like the cat and the background designs, it's a gothic kind of style.

Thanks! It was a really nice background to render. The reference photo was quite atmospheric.

You got a really nice contrast with the black and white in this!
I don't have the patience to work with scraperboards XD

so is it hard to get scraperboard where you live?

Yes, it is fun ^^
This was given to us by our school, but I know that the shop Kreatima has it in stock, where it goes under the name of "Skrapkartong". Maybe they do international post delivery, but if not I guess you will have to make a trip to Stockholm.

I think it is rather difficult, but the second attempt was a noticeable improvement.

I love the background! I wouldn't know where to start on scrapeboard... I've never been too good with that kind of thing xD

Thank you!
I started with a sketch on the board and then scraped out the full white areas (which are the easiest).

Have you tried the materials we got at school?
I sort of like trying new media, because when I know beforehand that I am going to make mistakes there is no pressure.

This is really nice!
I like how the cat's design is simple, it makes it stand out more from the relatively detailed background :]
I know I've never been really good with scraperboards, they're so hard to use!

Yes, I often wish there was some sort of eraser (or more aptly; a black fill-in).
