Description she is loss
beyond the loss of life
she is sorrow and pain and holding on
she fades in and out
and whispers fading memories
into the hanging willow trees
while mortals cling to sweet
songs
holding on
until she is gone

i like your digital works, they look like fun to create

do they take you long?

aeravi In reply to rach19 [2006-07-29 23:23:48 +0000 UTC]

it really depends on what it is.

it never seems like long when i'm in the groove. this one was very fast, it only took about an hour.

most of the time is in taking the pictures and "developing" (what is that called when it's digital) them. and organizing. and being stumped a lot.

but when i'm in my groove, yes, digital work is extremely fun to do. it's very flexible. and the painter side of me can emerge, because i get to play with color, values, and even brushes

you should try it, if you're interested. i think it would definately work well with your style and eye... and you've got a collection of photographs to play with

but then, some take 10 hours, and the time i put into finding the pictures i want to go together is... ginormous. i say this because i'm doing it right now, aaahhh!

i guess it's like painting. sometimes, some paintings come together very easily. and sometimes the time thinking takes the most time. and sometimes you have to scrap 3 to get 1 good one...

but the process is meditative, so i'm not complaining at all!

i don't have the patience (or skills yet) .. & i get bored easily !
