'message through the time', acrylics on canvas = 58x58, november, 2016
actually i didn't know how to name it and also to make proper reproduction of it, but it doesn't matter.. anyway, another green creature.... among last details were adding this endangered cat lynx lynx on the left and blue butterfly on the right.. but still, i couldn't think of this title until recently dear friend Diet send me mail that inspired me easily:
''hey kirke,
i remember that you had this picture on dA "the fisherman and his wife" and you said you would like to see a really old "grandma´s" fairy tale book - since a few years we have public book shelves over here (in increasing numbers), where people can put in their books they don´t need any longer and other people who like them can take them out - a really brilliant idea and it works well - in one of these book shelves i found an old fairy tale book, it´s not that old, but it has nice reproductions of the really old illustrations in it, and i thought of you and took it with me - if you want me to send it, just give me your postal adress...

again i´ve been working with the voice recordings of kim and nina, and also of lelya (10, a friend of my daughter) and then selina (28), a street singer, out came "botschaft durch die zeiten" = "message though the times", wich will also be the title of one of my next cds...

so, inside this mail he also send new composition of singing and moody sounds and it is such a wonderful mystical and chill mood that just click inside my head about this painting because together with some helpers around i connect what could be said with such images... these are thoughts without time, without specific place.. just a song.. the power of music again.. hallucination or a dream.. whatever, life.. as once i started to paint an african woman who searched for her child playing flute through the bushes by the river..
what a lovely world of thoughts and dreams..
definitely, starting to create a story book, but need to catch more words that could express what i want..
for the end, oliver sacks will be cited about musical hallucinations:
"Many hallucinations are accompanied by a feeling of astonishment," Sacks says. Although most of us don't feel like we have much direct control over even our everyday process of creativity, we can still usually tell the difference between imagining something - a musical composition or a narrative arc - and witnessing a performance of it. Hallucinations blur that boundary. A skeptical person might recognize that he or she is "seeing things," but those things still seem to have a life of their own - they weren't summoned out of the imagination by any conscious act of will; nor can they easily be willed away.''
