hmmm I've never pictured a plant in that way. because you didnt keep it green and chose b&w, it gives it a dead look, a dead plant. very interesting. I love the shadows on it as well and how y ou planned out the lighting.

Black and White photos always seem to catch everyones attention. I really like the shadow and lighting in this picture. I dont know about you, but it looks to me like the plant is flying...kinda...

The shadows and sparse light make it mysterious. Very nicely done!

thats a cool plant..i like how youve not made the part where it all branches off the focal point, that would be boring. sounds like a blast taking it too...lol...good shading though. very nice.

I really love the idea! In fact, i think i'm gonna go play around with a flashlight or a desklamp or something like that now! So yes, the concept is great! But here are a few ideas to work with: The shadows. On the right side the leaves seem to be cut off because of the really dark crisp shadow. It'd be something i'd try to remove if you continue to mess around like this. The thing that i like the most though is just the gradual change from lights to dark as you look down the petals. Great use of lighting. And good idea to go black and white. Keep up the good work! and let me know if you do any more like this.
