Description
"The Last Unicorn" is both a favourite movie and book of mine. Here, the unicorn has returned from her journey, the same and yet changed, bearing a burden of regret that not even coming home can relieve.Not sure if I'm finished with this one ... durr.

I don't usually say this, buuuut OMG! I remember this, looking back it's kind of a weird movie. It took me a second to notice the girl,very interesting. The colors are wonderful and happy and I love the dreamy expression on her face, great job!

This has got to be one of the most beautiful pieces of fanart ever. Not just Last Unicorn fanart, but all fanart EVER. The colors are beautiful, and your style really captures that of the movie. The faint figure of the Unicorn's human self is really fitting and sends a powerful message. Instant fave!

Wow. This is amazingly beautiful. I loved that movie so much. I have yet to read the book, perhaps that one shall be next; I shouldn't let it collect dust like that. The style and coloring is excellent here. Wonderful job.

I never read the book, but this is my all-time favorite film. And did you know the original Japanese animators threw away the cells when the production was complete?

Absolutely gorgeous! So meaningful, and this is one of my favorite movies/books! I love the color scheme, and the hidden figure is just so perfect. I love the unicorn's swirly hair and expressive eyes, and the background is so beautifully fantastic!

It is really beautiful and the style is perfect made.
But she does look not that happy, like she is floating through her shelter.
A tiny smile...only a little tiny one could make her face as happy and reliefed as she seems to be by her moving.
I love the picture as much, as I love the movie. It is great and I love to listen to the soundtrack while painting.
The music from the scene when the unichorns come out of the stormy sea and when the castle is falling...I still cry a littel sometimes...just hearing the melody...

Ah the last unicorn! One of my favorites as well.
You did a wonderful job and I adore the colors and the hidden "woman" self is an incredibly thoughtful addition that flows -quite literally!- quite well with the rest. I didn't see her for a few moments even.
Thank you for creating such a wonderful homage to the Last Unicorn now I think I would like to dig out my old VHS and give it a re-watch...

I grew up with the movie, and recently saw a special edition of the book and fell in love with it as well.
Your picture here is just as exquisite and flowing as it could possibly be, and using the soft pastel tones was a really beautiful touch.

I'm sure many, many others have already told you this but this work is beautiful beyond comprehension. I love the scale of colors you chose and the unicorn's pose is very natural and graceful. My favorite part has to be the image of her human form floating faintly about her, reflecting her regrets and sorrows.
