Description
"The Last Unicorn" is both a favourite movie and book of mine. Here, the unicorn has returned from her journey, the same and yet changed, bearing a burden of regret that not even coming home can relieve.Not sure if I'm finished with this one ... durr.

If they should remake the film then I nominate you as part of the animation team. It would kill me to find out some day that The Last Unicorn was remade to look like another Pixar or Dreamworks movie. I was tired to death of "three-dimensional" on the moment they started attempting it in children's film, not to mention the many years now that it has dominated children's stories. Where has the hand-drawn animation gone? So anything that reminds me of those days when fantasies were still beautifully made, like this picture, is a sight for the sore eye. Thank you.

I too consider both that book and movie to be treasures of mine, I grew up with them and I even know the dialogues by heart, I've watched the movie so many times... and it still amazes me every time I do and still gives me goose bumps when I listen to it's music, and I'm still waiting for the continuation of "Two hearts"... maybe it is already out there and I don't even know! O_O
But anyway, your work is simply amazing, you managed to emulate the movie art style so perfectly... every little detail, even the grass looks beautiful... the contrasts, the colors... and Amalthea looks so sad... the ghostly presence of the human inside her is very interesting too, you are very skilled and have a great vision, your work is just awesome!

Omg I used to love this film when I was little whilst being simultaneously a bit freighted of it! A bit of shape shifting cant be beat tho.
Yet another cartoon from the 80s that has corrupted me to liking anthro, therianthrope, shapeshifting. Bravestar, Thundercats have much to answer for! (the list goes on)
