I'm sorry if I'm annoying you but this is true. Using the shape tool wouldn't help unless you are drawing joints and even after that you erase the shape tool. I'm not an expert at art and I don't think my art is much better than yours but I think you should listen to this advice. Thank you.

Look, I'm going to be honest with you here: if you are passionate about drawing, even as a hobby, you should be willing to accept criticism. "This is a hobby" is not a valid excuse. Drawing is a hobby for me and I do my best to improve, ask for criticism, look to learn from my mistakes, and want to be the best I can be.

No, seriously, it's good advice. Don't use it. Even try tracing other art to improve (DON'T POST IT, THOUGH). Or try a 3-D modeling program such as DesignDoll (or was it Dolldesign? I can never remember.)
The ONLY time you should use it is for guidelines on, for example, a chibi. Their heads are MEANT to be round in basic shape, just touch it up afterwards by adding some detail.
They aren't trying to harass you or anything, they want to help you.

...All I can say is learn to take constructive criticism. If you can't do that and get mad over it, you're not ready for DeviantArt or the internet. Just saying bro, you got way too mad over this :\ Nothing is wrong with them- it's true, shape tool wont allow improvement. They're not telling you to stop, they're telling you to IMPROVE you need to NOT use that tool. It's your choice in the end.
