Today, July 20th, is Independence Day. This is a small drawing of the pony that represents my country on this day.

In the illustration, the pegasus (Camila) shines with pride, surrounded by symbols that represent the cultural richness of Colombia.

Delicately holding a cup of steaming coffee, the aroma of Colombian coffee. It represents the country's rich coffee tradition and its economic and cultural importance. In addition, the coffee symbolizes Colombian hospitality, as sharing a cup of coffee with friends and family is a deeply rooted social practice.

With her other hoof, she holds a bandeja paisa (paisa tray), full of colors and flavors. It is a hearty dish that includes rice, beans, meat, chorizo, pork crackling, fried egg, ripe plantain and avocado, among other ingredients. It highlights Colombia's culinary diversity and regional identity, as this dish originates from the Paisa region in Antioquia.

And on her tail, the beautiful orchids wave, a symbol of the natural beauty that embraces this land. Each flower represents the diversity of the flora, the fragility of the country's natural ecosystems and the hope that blooms in every corner of Colombia.

The vueltiao hat on her head gives her that authentic touch and reminds us of the cultural roots that have shaped the history of Colombia, originating from the indigenous Zenú culture, it is traditional of the Caribbean Coast, this hand-woven hat with "caña flecha" represents the craftsmanship and talent of Colombian artisans.

Despite all the failures and problems the country has, it is a very beautiful place, in many ways.
