Description
Well, day number 11 of 'Inktober' and the word is 'Wander'.Today's Lore:
Lyra Heartstrings floated in deep space, her astronaut suit tailored to her pony anatomy protecting her from the cold and emptiness of the cosmos. As she gazed at the distant stars, she felt an overwhelming loneliness pressing down on her. Homesickness for her home in Equestria mingled with dread of the black hole looming on the horizon.
In her spacesuit, Lyra killed time caressing a harp projected with her magic, her only companion was the illusion of music in the silence of the cosmos. Her notes filled the space with a sadness that reflected her own mood. As she played, her eyes filled with tears that floated around her in the form of small glowing spheres.
Lyra watched the black hole with a fascinated awe, wondering if she would ever find her way back home. She often found herself staring at the communication device, waiting for a signal, a friendly voice to tell her she was not alone in the vastness of the cosmos. But static and silence were her only companions.
The astronaut pony felt hope fading like distant stars. The idea of returning home had become an increasingly distant longing, and doubt tormented her. She wondered if her hope had a real purpose or if it was just an illusion to keep her sane in the midst of overwhelming loneliness.
As she floated in the darkness, Lyra continued to play her harp, seeking solace in the melancholy notes it created. She realized that she was ultimately alone in the vastness of space. The static of communication had become a familiar sound in her ears, accompanying in a chorus of dissonance her own melody, but it brought her no solace.
Doubt grew, and for the first time in hours, the static to which she had become accustomed ceased. Suddenly, a familiar and beloved voice, albeit choppy, echoed from the communication device. It was Twilight's voice. It was brief, but significant, like a flash of light in the darkness of infinite space.
The little space pony's morale blossomed slightly as she listened to her friend. With renewed spirit, Lyra returned to observing the colossus that drew her to its territories, the black hole, and the asteroids that surrounded it. She wondered if those asteroids were remnants of some ancient planet or perhaps constructs of a civilization lost in space and time.
Time...
Right now, there was little point in talking about time, it had lost its meaning, she just had to hope....
