Description
So, here is a dragon I finally got around to finishing. I sketched this beastie out in a class over a year ago, and he has patiently waited to be finished.
I've tried coloring this a couple of times, but I've never liked how it turned out. Part of the difficulty is that I suck at linearting, cuz for some reason I just can't draw a straight line. So, now that I am a wizard with the Illustrator pen tool, I started lining with that. I believe that this is probably about the best project I have completed to date, and I'm very eager to do more like it.

Story behind the phrase-
Having just graduated with a Creative Writing degree, I have discovered that art of any kind is hugely under-appreciated. We are taking away more and more funding, and it is nearly impossible to make a living doing any form of art. However, our cultures revolve around art in every form. Without using our imaginations, humanity as we know it would not exist. We would not be able to advance if we did not image things that do not currently exist.
Dragons seem to be a pretty good representative of imagination, so I paired this handsome fellow up with this phrase.
To sum up, this picture is to support all those of us in any artistic field who feel like giving up. There will come a time when people recognize the effort that you put into your work, and will appreciate what you are doing.
