Who are you?
You seeped into my skull
permeated the stillness of my
heart
and broke the silence
shafts of life stabbing me but
it was all part of the process.
We were only trying to
live to see
one more day.
Your pain was my pain,
and my pain yours;
you bore my burden on
shoulders of the world
Now that it's all run down to
stories of the times
and imaginary pictures chase
my mind's eye,
I can't decide whether you
helped me or hurt me.
If others can see what you
did to me, turning cruelty into
a semblance of love,
how could you not?
Right brain says
return to me, and don't
EVER
leave me again
unless you want to look
for me in the clouds.
Left brain says
don't try to save me
because I'm already
dead by your hands.
You who I called angel,
can angels commit murder?
I braved the seas to find you
and as I settle into the dust,
remember that
they'll mark you down as
my killer.

One by one the strings
snap and I fall from
the sky
without my parachute
jumped, I jumped,
and I'll watch you bleed for me.
