Actually, the one on the right is a projecticator: it fires no physical ammunition. It is utilized for the herding of the animate dead and keeping the occasional vampire at bay. You may see more details on it here: [link]

An interesting question! Before Dr. Sletten formed Aethertech Industries in 1864 with Dr. Gailbraith, one of his manufacturing companies produced this useful tool for combating the extramundane. After some initial failures to market it, they reintroduced it to the market (which largely consisted of mercenaries, bounty hunters and soldiers) after they had renamed with a more jovial (and rather sexual) name to great success.
Though the word "ejaculate" is often associated with semen, it does not necessarily have that as part of its direct meaning (connotations aside) and it literally means "to eject, or come out suddenly". Apparently the "Choose -Your-Poison Ejaculator" is both a source of amusement and an effective weapon in the metaphorical trenches of the hunting of horrors.
Never underestimate the value of a smile when facing down a horde of the undead!

No, seriously. The hat is actually cursed, or more accurately, the mercury present in the hat from the shaping process is aether-touched and an aetheric predator is bonded with it and uses it to influence the physical world.

I've been looking for some banker's sleeves. In the 19th century, ball point pens and pencils weren't yet used, and fountain pens and quills often spattered ink. Banker's sleeves are fingerless bicep length gloves that might also be fairly effective at keeping rotten animate dead bits from staining one's attire.
