It's not often that I'm brought to tears by literature pieces, yours is the exception. This is beautiful and describes so many feelings I have!
It's nice to know there are others that share the same feelings I have.

You've pulled a number of heart strings in me through this poem. The wolf within, deep down, far away, seen only through glimpses in fleeting moments. Its like I've seen him in my dreams, in the corner of my eye; like a memory forgotten, but somehow slowly coming back. You've done an excellent job in capturing those feelings and arousing them in the reader. I love it, thank you.

It's not so much taking over. but lending strength being that they are so close they are never truly apart from us.

I tend to let mine hold the reins sometimes. (Wolf personality takes over the human but its still me either way)It makes things more fun lol

A truely amazing piece of poetry!! It reminds my of my very own thoughts hidden deep within as this wolf is just black as the deepest night, faster than any wind or storm you've ever felt, greeting you with a mysterious smiling gaze from her deep blue shining eyes. Bounded together without any words...as near as only a true wolf spirit can be.

Wow, I must say I'm not usually too big on poetry, but this poem really touched me.
When I was younger I used to have very similar beliefs, but (long story short) everyone around me constantly made me feel like it was childish and downright insane to think such things, to the point where I just gave up entirely. It feels both heavily inspiring and comforting to read this, now... Especially at a time where I feel I've begun to finally reconnect with myself and my inner being, despite what those around me might have to say.

I had the same experience my friend.
those who were older and perhaps wiser per say paid little attention to what i thought of as truth
so i never truly lost my inner self
and as i grow older i find it to be more and more a guide
and a comfort. so who are they to say what the truth is inside
when they have never looked there themselves

hmm i think this is it, but it is one of my rare poems that dont rhyme.
running, silent and deadly
unseen by the prey
he jumps, the jugular is his
bones snap, giving way to the teeth
he rips at flesh
leaving what's left to the eaters of the dead
