Description
I swear I can't tell where to put anything anymore. So this was a piece I started a while back but just finished recently. A katazome print of a quetzal that I did on cotton. The calligraphy says something along the lines of "One Mayan legend states that the bird used to sing beautifully before the Spanish Inquisition and shan't sing again until the land is truly free".
This was mostly a practice piece to get back into using katazome as well as using it on a larger scale. I also wanted to compare the processes on silk ([link] ) and cotton. The blob on the bottom is mostly cause I spilled some dye there and had to cover it up.
