: Maybe this wasn't such a good idea...Vector made from episode 01x08, a REALLY old one. I'm sure someone has already drawn this somewhere, but I just had to do it.
One thing that I've always wanted was a screensaver of Applejack from this scene, just swinging back and forth. It would be awesome.

A weird trend in the series if you pay attention, Earth Ponies will rarely put up a fuss, AJ, AB, Pinkie, unless it has to do with the fact they don't have any extra appendages, and the lack of that is the limiting factor. So like season 2, episodes 1 and 2. Discord takes off with Twilight + Rarity's horns, and Fluttershy + Rainbow's wings, and they're all like "OH SHIT, WE BE SCREWED" and you never see a shot of AJ's or PP's faces, but I guarantee it was something along the lines of:

I'm not sure how familiar you are with the Knights of The Old Republic series, *MAJOR SPOILER ALERT*, KoTOR II your mentor throughout the game wants to prove to the Jedi that they're wrong. How are the Jedi wrong? The Jedi of the old era were so dependent on the force they literally couldn't live without it. So your character, The Jedi Exile, who was stripped of the force, became just as powerful as them, and they went all "No. No. You're not one of us. So you're a Sith! You're evil, because WE know you're not us." They were so dependent and stuck to the idea that the Light Side of the force was the ONLY way of functioning that they saw you, someone who lived outside the force, and they literally couldn't fathom the idea of it, yet alone judge it properly. So your mentor, she cuts the Jedi off from the Force just as they were about to do the same to you permanently, and they drop dead instantly, because they couldn't live without it.
Earth Ponies in the same way aren't as dependent on something they've come to literally live off of. Take a Unicorn, remove the horn and what are you left with? Strip the wings of a Pegasus, and what are you left with? That's proof enough they wouldn't know how to function. Mistress Mare-Velous, power ponies, is Batman. A super-hero who's power is... being rich, and smart, not control of Thunder, or Super Strength. In one of my stories, all magic is suppressed, so from birth, Pegasi and Unicorns are for all intents and purposes... Earth Ponies.. and they learn to do things the EARTH pony way.
So although Applejack isn't the most interesting of the characters, simply because they exhausted all of story driving attributes in the first season, Applejack as an Earth Pony is really freaking interesting.
