Augh. D: This one is hard to see... I may fix it later, but I'm tired.Another misleading thought in transgender issues. Just because this guy wants to be a girl doesn't mean he likes guys. Maybe she likes chicks. It has nothing to do with her gender. Same for female-to-male... though that scenario is a bit more rare, where a FTM likes men.
Anyway, another transgender support stamp I decided to make. =]
EDIT: Okay... I didn't know just HOW hard it was to see. New version.

Oh, word. So many people don't get this. I have had to explain sooo many times to people that being an MtF does NOT just mean you are a "super gay" guy, or that you even like guys, and that it does not "make sense" for a gay FtM to just stay a girl. I don't know why it so hard for people to realize that gender does not equal orientation; we've got enough guy-loving guys and girl-loving girls for that to be clear by now, don't we? Yet, it always seems that people assume a guy who wants to be a girl must like guys...just dumb. Anyway, great sticker!

If it makes you feel better, I'm a celibate gay female-bodied male. That gets a lot of questions/retorts at first.
Anyway, thanks for commenting! =]

Thanks for the stamp. Seriously. I'm still havin' a hard to explaining this to people. They really don't give you the chance, you know?

Haha oh boy i'm just having a hay day in your gallery.
I have fallen in love with several females before - but generally, i'm not as attracted to them as I am to boys. I'm just... so much more comfortable being a boy with boys.
I hate that assumption, though. One of my friends just assumed I was a lesbian, and had been reffering to me as one for like... I don't know how long. I was like 'waitwhat?! D8'
π: 0 β©: 1
AETitus In reply to DarknEvilKitty [2008-03-14 07:01:44 +0000 UTC]
For real. XD
And I agree - I prefer guys/transguys to girls. I have more girl (SPACE) friends than I do guy friends though... So I'm not quite sure what it's like to be a guy amongst guys yet. At least women are generally more understanding.
Oh god. D8 Recently I've been afraid that people think that about me. Or think I'm a straight girl - even worse! ... sort of? I dunno. Either way, I'm being I.D.'d as something I'm not.
π: 0 β©: 1
DarknEvilKitty In reply to AETitus [2008-03-14 17:16:11 +0000 UTC]
Haha that space made me laugh. xD
But anyway, yeah - in real life, I hang out generally with guys. On the internet, the majority of people I "hang" out with are female.
It's different in a good way, though... i'd pick guys over girls anyday. Thankfully, though, the majority of guys I hang out with are understanding... although i've come across some that would probably enjoy beating me up. xD
But you've kinda got a good point, there. I'm not sure which would be worse... being seen as a lesbian, or a straight female. That's... kinda complicated. xD?

AETitus In reply to DarknEvilKitty [2008-03-15 03:53:54 +0000 UTC]
xD Makes a big difference, right?
Same there, too - most of my Internet buddies are female as well. I thought two of them, who happen to be two of my best 'net friends, are guys. <3
Oh no! Don't get yourself beated up, kay? ;3;
Yeah it is... XD Either way, both sexualities and sexes would be wrong. So I guess they could both be offensive!
So do you go by he/him/his/that guy to everyone you know?
π: 0 β©: 1
DarknEvilKitty In reply to AETitus [2008-03-17 00:21:05 +0000 UTC]
That it does, that it does. xD
But don't worry, I'll try my best. 8D <3
And it really depends. Some people that i've known my entire life, or like... four, five years, havn't really gotten used to referring to me as a male yet. I don't really blame them, it's a hard thing to change. I just tell them to take their time in getting used to it. All new people I meet, though, I introduce myself as a male to keep that hassle to a minimum. xD
What about you?

...wow. I did a really bad typo up there. "I thought two of them, who happen to be two of my best 'net friends, are guys." is supposed to be "Although two of them, who happen to be two of my best 'net friends, are guys." WOW. Lmao. Suddenly, they became female! D: ...but not really.
That's cool~ :0 I don't pass yet (just need a better binder, darn it), so I haven't asked anyone - even my close friends - to call me male yet. My net friends, for the most part, do though. <3 Ahh, makes me happy. Lol!

lol oh man, and here I am stupid enough to not even notice. xD I read that and was just like '...oh kay! 8D'
So ah, don't worry about it. xD
But ugh, I need a binder, end of story. D: I still use ace bandages... and I know it's not good for you, and it hurts, but I don't have anything else. >_>; I really need to look into it.
And lol, net friends for the win!

Awesome stamp!
I learned to do the "difference" sign the other way around, though. As in, a = with a / over it, not a \. But don't get me wrong, I'm not suggesting you should change it! : >
I for one am merely tomboyish most of the time, and I'm not attracted to anybody, but this surely is a fact I agree with.

Yeah the hormone's scare me too. Plus you need to get the OK from a psychologist to do it... But I'm one of the lucky ones, I know a psychologist so it would make my life so much easier if I decide to make the jump from female to male.
And most of the good guys are gay too, so it could all work out in the end I suppose. XD
