Even though I love this picture but looking at comments about ash it's really sad though cause poor ash doesn't get enough respect like red even after all the years the poor dude went through in journey not to mention he almost gets killed at some points with either from a pokemon or a human and yet continues to fight to save those pokemon or people from danger,Now i'm not saying red sucks or anything cause i'mma a red fan boy of the manga and possibly the game too even though the dude never speaks just either jumps off the mountain or disappear .XD I'm just saying some people are too hard headed or arrogant to even think of the times ash put his life on the line on saving the world and how awesome he is as well frankly i think the fan boys and girls need to grow up and stop saying "red is the best hands down"and all the crap and really think about the time ash had through out the years cause frankly he's just as good as red in many ways.

Red has been frozen, thrown off the ship by Lt. Surge and turned to stone. ( CANONICALLY! )He was also the only trainer in the canon history who could command Mewtwo in battle.
Ash, on the other hand... Is just... Meh. And don't think I hate Ash, I grew up on the early episodes of the anime. And all the great feats Ash commited? 99% of them happened in NON-CANON movies.
So, I can understand why Ash is underrated. But, what do you expect? Ash was supposed to be Red, but he turned out to be pretty much a failure.
And according to games, Red has the strongest pokemon team in the history. ( Not only that, but it's very balanced. ) It's also the most memorable battle in all the games.
Ash isn't as bad as people say. But he isn't good either. He's decent. Red on the other hand... Well what to say. He is the very best.Β
