Just a digital drawing of one of my wild horse characters Chaska. Ain't he a doll? He sure seems to enjoy that snow.

*The snow fell softly over the chestnut colt as he twined his way through the ever thickening snow. Though the warmth of yesterday had been appreciated after weeks locked in below zero temperatures, the heat had caused the snow to melt then refreeze to create a hard outer shell. Chaska’s small deer like hooves did little to help him punch through the thick, icy layer.
A whinny from his dam kept him going. She looks back at the colt with a softened blue eye. Her chocolate brown hide was becoming increasingly white with the falling snow. Another piercing whinny was hollered to her colt as she continued on her way. Food must be acquired for her growing son if he was to survive the winter.
Chaska gave his own little bleat to his mother as he hopped like a jackrabbit over the slippery banks. A sudden change in the wind made him stop. Sticking his muzzle in the air he inhaled the southerly wind. Something primal stirred inside him at that moment. The promise of spring. *
