I don't really wanna consider this Illumination fan-art, but rather a tribute to a guy who has a much bigger animation presence than most think, Sergio Pablos.

Despicable Me may be the flag-ship franchise for Illumination, but it was actually based on an original concept by Sergio Pablos. Yeah say what you will about that franchise these days...but it did all start, with an idea. But 2018 marked somewhat a return of his creative output with the Warner Animation Group film, Smallfoot. Which, while I'll admit it's nothing spectacular, I do appreciate it's fun music and pretty bold messages that it teaches that match up pretty well with this current era. Heck, before he created these two, he was a Disney animator he did the animation for Frollo from Hunchback, Hades from Hercules, Tantor from Tarzan, and Doctor Doppler from Treasure Planet. The more you know, ey?
