Here's an interesting fact I've learned about Courage the Cowardly Dog when watching AniMat's Animation Lookback on Cartoon Network. The short that started it all, "The Chicken From Outer Space" actually took a lot of inspiration from Wallace and Gromit in The Wrong Trousers. Which looking back on the short....I can actually see the large influence it took from Nick Park's classic short. As both are centered around a Dog going against a dastardly bird...or Duck in this case. It's especially funny because the short would go against the next Wallace and Gromit short, A Close Shave...which ultimately won. Well....I guess that's 2 CN shows that took notes from Aardman. (The other being We Bare Bears) Quite funny ain't it?
