For a more proper Pride Month piece, here's a special take on the lovable square dude himself. SpongeBob certainly has quite the history when it comes to this topic. First he was confirmed by Stephen Hillenburg as an Asexual, then was accused for being gay by idiots over analyzing the silly comedy of the episode where he and Patrick raise Jr. the Scallop, and then was apparently confirmed to be actually gay by Nickelodeon themselves...despite what Stephen said about how he viewed SpongeBob's sexuality. Though in all honesty....did any of us even cared about SpongeBob's sexual preferences growing up? Aside from said idiots taking it WAY too seriously?

Well either way, I think SpongeBob can make for a perfect icon of Pride. Regardless if he's gay or asexual, he's someone who loves everyone for who they are, and that's a sentiment that not everyone has unfortunately...Oh well, Happy Pride Month!
