Having 8 (now 7
) tabby cats, i know what i'm talking about (like everytime i talk about cats XD)sorry if i made mistakes... i'm french, but not bad at english.
post me photos about cats if you have a question, just like ''hey that ginger cat not seem to be a tabby'' (most be a ghost tabby; ghost tabby are tabby who are so pale that the stripes are almost invisible)

Red Smoke/Ticked Tabbies are genetic Tabbies that don't have stripes. Common in the Abbysinnian and Somali breed. They are still genetically tabbies, but do not have stripes.
To go along with the Smoke/Ticked tabby, sometimes they lose the visibility of the 'm' that marks a 'True Tabby' but that doesn't make them less of a tabby. Infact, on Smoke/Ticked Tabbies the famous 'M' can be hidden, and all that's visible is '/ \' which would look like an 'M' if you wanted it to. But not having an 'M' on a tabby doesn't make it a bad tabby!
White Tail tip's are common on cat's that have White Spotting. Being a Tabby doesn't automatically mean that the tail tip will always be darker. White tail tips are common on Black Bicolor/Tuxedo, Color point and White, and Red/White. So long as the cat has the White Spotting Gene, there's a possibility that the tail tip can be white.
And not every design is going to follow genetics! While it's fun to make genetically possible felines, the whole point of creativity is to make it unique. So it's okay to make genetically possible cats, with impossible stripes. Just like it's okay to make genetically impossible colored cats with realistic and possible stripes!

Yeah i did not talk about these details... it was a simple easy thing for people get strated and i do not want to much of gentical things. But i may make a more specific one.
And, for the tail, i mean that, without having a white spotting, you can't get a paler color. (exept for gingers)

You should totally make one that includes everything Tabby related, and then one thats everything Red Related, etc.
