Description
This is for an art challenge at another website. I was to draw Exar Kun. I wasn't really familiar with the character, but I looked at some reference photos. I wan't to apologize to the Fanboys in advance if I messed up his lightsaber or outfit or face or anything.He is an ancient Sith Lord from the Star Wars books.

I doubled checked and yeah, the lightsaber handle length is accurate to Exar Kun's. Sadly, having a double bladed lightsaber (or any sort of saber) with that small of a handle is retarded because even if you don't cut your hands you can't get any leverage or control. Nothing on you, you didn't write that bit of lore.

HA! GREAT job here! I'm not real familiar with Exar Kun, outside of the references to him in the Jedi Academy books; but I do know he was Sith, and--as points out--was one of the original bad-@$$es! Love the pose, and the robes--his expression is wonderful: defiant, confident...as if daring anyone to challenge him. The Massassi temple in the b/g is a great touch, too--ties him nicely into the J/A stories there! Very well done--and congrats on trying some new things! It's a terrific way to stretch and sharpen your skills--keep on going!

Thanks. The temple was the one thing I didn't actually draw. I took a photo of one of the actual pyramids seen in ANH and photo manipulated it. I used Poser as the base image for the man and then painted over him. I think the hands are the only thing that stayed mainly the same. I painted all the clothing and such and the lightsaber. It only took me a few hours. I still do not have the patience for precision work. I needed a break from NaNo. I finished typing 50K words in 18 days.
