Description
I wanted to draw something pretty and girly so here is a winged unicorn-pony for you! And of course background must be pink.
Tools: Markers, colored pencils, watercolors, salt and white gel pen.
Title: Helmi is a Finnish word and means 'pearl'.

Anyways I like the design. And the way the hair flows like its caught in the wind.
One thing I noticed though, your old plague of wings to small to actually work has returned.

You can't escape, they're everywhere!
Ah, too small wings again... that wasn't my intention. Maybe the folding and "resting" pose of them makes them look too small. Remember that there are quite big part of them hidden under the showing part. But I agree, their positioning isn't perfect.

Hassua, joku toinenkin mainitsi tuosta harmaasta, ettei se oo tyypillinen mun värivalinnaksi eikä myöskään kauhean tyttömäinen, mutta itse jotenkin näin tässä harmaan sellaisena herkkänä ja nimenomaan "helmimäisenä" värinä. Yeah, variation is always good; otherwise youself and your watchers may get bored. At least I get bored with similarity quite easily: I wanna see and try different techniques, creatures, poses etc...

So beautiful! I love how you did the wings. The design is awesome, too - I just love the colors you chose, and the spots on its coat and the fur/hair on its feet are nice touches. The mane and tail look gorgeous, as well. Love it!

I am happy that you like the background! I had troubles with because salt patterns didn't show properly but scanning made them stand out more. So scanner can actually make things look better sometimes!
It is interesting that you think the character is a boy; I didn't point out gender so it is fun to see whether people see him/her as a male or female. ^^

Yeah scanning actually makes some patterns pop out, specially if they are in high contrasts(like white and pink in your case).
I was reading trough the artists comment so I played dumb and wrote it in male gender.

Actually I am not very good with watercolors but I would love to learn how to use them better! Here I just splashed it on the background and added some salt to make fancy patterns.
