Smooth snake (Coronella austriaca) This snake is often confused with the European adder, but is not venomous, completely harmless. Unlike the viper, this snake has an eye with round pupil, as well as a patterns on its head which resembles the Austrian Two-headed Eagle. After this photo, I had to force this one to leave the dirt road, using a stick (I didnt use my hands because it can still bite). I found it completely motionless on the road, but luckily it reacted after I touched it with my stick. Maybe it still had to warm itself up, because it was still before noon.
