Hey! Thank you for submitting to for feedback!
This turtle is so adorable! It's also interesting to look at, since I'm not familiar with this kind of creature
Since you submitted for feedback, here are some suggestions for you:
- This turtle is looking at something toward the left of the photograph, so you can try to improve the composition by leaving some extra space on the left side of the picture, and crop it a bit tighter on the right. By this way you can also prevent the leaves from interfering with your focus on this guy. You can find more information about this "rule of space" composition here: Photography101: Chapter 02: Composition - Location
- The background is a little distracting from the turtle. In order to help the turtle stand out, you could try to blur the around area, or just add a dark vignette around him. In addition, you can increase the contrast to make the photo deeper and more impressive.
However, this turtle is a very lovely animal. I also like how you capture him while he was raising his head above the water. Good job!
I hope this helps, and if you have questions, please ask!

In my pond there are four species of turtles, not counting the transient snapping turtles.

In Poland we call it "mud turtle". Nice photo of rare reptile.

Actually in Hungary it's not that rare, but it's still difficult to run into one.

So I envy you more. In Poland main problem is lack of good places to breed.
