Don't worry, that glare is not for you. This is a Dream Guardian, and the look is for the bad dreams.
I have a page of dream guardian portrait designs, all of them different. The idea is each and every one of us has our own special dream guardian, and they're the ones who protect us from real harm during sleep. This one is inspired by a fluffy moth, but also reminds me of an owl and I almost added a beak. If you're familiar with my body of work it's pretty clear I love to paint furry creatures, and here we see a rare curly pattern, built up through many layers to create the illusion of depth.
