This is really good; I think I'm seeing lately some echoes in what people are doing in art from the early to mid-20th Century.

This reminds me in different ways of the art of Modigliani and of Mondrian. It's got elements of cubism and Modern art. the effect being one of three-dimensionality, lighter colors which approach and darker ones which recede.

It makes for a very interesting whole. Nice work!

I agree it's a very interesting piece in it's whole, and still looks paradoxically simple and complex.

As for this ^, it's possible it's about tendencies. (In general) Things tend to have 2 extremes which work kind of like a sort of ping-pong between preferences, that takes a somewhat long time to ping and to pong.
This is just my view, but I remember there being something more "formal" about it, sadly I can't recall from where...

It's a very satisfying blend, edged rectangles and amorphous colors and textures.

I just get the feeling of 1950's abstracts but with a sophistication which places it today. Maybe part of that is because of the more modern aspect ratio!
