As things progressed, the young man began to seriously doubt every conclusion he’d made over the last few minutes. He held on to his hat as everything else went weird.

The hairs he’d seen growing had gotten out of control, and in seconds were working on covering his whole body. he touched the growing patches, and his mind didn’t think of human hair, but animal fur…

The fur brought other changes, leaving no doubt that he was turning into animal! As his skin was increasingly blanketed with the fur, he blinked, and felt almost as though his overalls were too large. Then he looked closely, he could see his legs SHRINKING, drawing further into the pant legs.

He gulped but before he could say much, when a long, flexible tail grew from the base of his spine also covered in fur. He knew it wasn’t a cat or dog tail, he’d only seen something like in a zoo! “Mon..monkey?” he got out, "but then that means that my” and in response, he felt and heard cracking in his feet.

On his right foot, the toes elongated till they resembled fingers, except for his big toe. That rolled around to the side, as his foot restructured around with it, looking like a thumb! He opened and closed it, like a hand, and shivered as the same thing happened to his right foot.

His ears quivered, and elongated as the fur connected with his hair. He was still chewing on that piece of straw when his mouth pushed forward,changing his dental and facial structure, and melting his nose into a snout.

He tried to say something else, but he ooked instead.
