His heart was pounding in his chest as he continued walking, the path was gone. Trying to check his surroundings was hard in the low light, and trying to get directions was useless when his phone died. Kejital was lost and he knew it.

The theater had closed after the movie ended, and he missed the bus back to the city. Again. Kejital sighed. Compounding being lost was the thumping in his chest and the strange feelings through his body. As the moon rose behind him, Kejital rolled his eyes.

This had to be a joke. Maybe he was hallucinating this, after all the guy in the back of the theatre was definitely smoking something and he probably inhaled some. Or, he thought, maybe it was the unseasonably cold air or the strange light from the moon?

Kejital looked over his shoulder, and his eyes were lost in the light of the moon. He had felt this before, many years ago but never imagined… never imagined he’d be experiencing this again. It wasn’t as scary now as it was then, but the inevitable damage to his clothing was unwelcome.

He saw his nose pull away, and the fur begin to sprout along his arm, a growing warmth spread inside him. He was not accustomed to lycanthropy, but with his new paws destroying his shoes and a tail swishing behind him, he’d have to figure it out.

With a howl, Kejital bounded into the strange woods, with the moon high in the sky to guide him.

Kejital sees a werewolf movie, and gets lost on the way home. Then he turns into a werewolf.
