Description Journal of Ottokar Dimoedes, August 7th

“I stepped out of the outpost on the border of Varanok. The mountains stretched like teeth raking the sky as far as the eye could see. I clanked in my heavy armor as I took out my map, and double-checked my route for the capital city, Pharos. “Ignacio, I am coming to settle a debt.” I whispered into the wind.

I stepped through the hole in the breached and scorched fence the Order had built years ago to stop Ignacio’s southward sweep. It had failed, and there were still skeletons of men and women who’d tried to stop him. I swore to myself to bury when I came back through. I cleared the wreckage, and breathed in. I smelt fire, and it warmed a small place inside me.

The heat how ever, didn’t stop there. I could feel it burning through me, I couldn’t begin to guess the temperature, but I felt like my very insides were aflame. The fire got to me, and I dropped my shield, only to see it burst into flame, the same happened to my sword and in a blinding blaze they somehow reshaped into red orbs, and flew into my being. The pain intensified.

The fire escalated to my head, and a headache worse than I’d ever experienced was sharply amplified by the newfound pain within. The ailment was pounding from the inside against my skull; I thought any moment it would break. And it did, I could feel lumps, that should not have been there, mutilate my skull over my brow ridge, and then more all the way down my spine.

It was too much, I threw my helmet into the ground, and it looked far too small to properly wear, and bent. As my hands left my face, I saw they were changed. Orange, and scaly to the touch, ending in white, sharp claws. To what was worse, I could see the gloves burning off, and my middle fingers had absorbed my ring fingers, reducing my digit count to four apiece. In cold horror I stared, was I becoming a giant lizard? I knew what that crystal had done to me, coming here without preparation was not an intelligent decision.

The internal burning caused my arms to absorb my armor, converting the chain links to resilient scales. Almost as though I was unforging my armor into it’s materials, but becoming the material as well. As the armor melted into what was becoming my skin, I know I yelled, probably more than once. I noticed some of the scales were yellow, particularly on the ones on my chest, and that in symbolic patterns down my new arms, black scales were forming. My surcoat was burning into nothingness, and the plates I wore dissolved. My legs formed similarly to my arms, except the musculature sifted into a position hard to stand on, my feet lengthening, and my lower legs shrinking.

From my back, I could feel an awful motion, and it too caused me to yell as digits larger than my arms grew to an incredible size. “Wings” I said, as my mouth pulled from my face. My teeth were probably sharpening, as I pricked my tongue accidentally, as it too reshaped. My ears were twisted about into something weird and huge, as a twitching in my eye hinted something there had changed as well. My spine aching from the onset of the fire-pain suddenly stretched out, lengthening and forming into a tail. The tail had spines, and strangely enough, hair. My hair on my head had receded, but as I touched my head, some was still there, and it continued down my back, past my wings and down my tail.

To say my in front of those words was greatly unsettling, I thought to myself, and even more so as I grew. My shoulders fell forward, and in a cascade of muscle and bone, I fell to all fours. My clothing and armor was gone, integrated into me, or burnt away, I grew in size, my neck , tail and wings lengthening, into the body of a dragon. I coughed as I tried to expel the fire inside of me, resulting in a fiery blast incinerating a shrubbery that happened to be in it’s path. The fire ceased burning me, but it had not left me, I was a monster. I could feel it, and by a quick survey, I knew it.

I found a small watering hole, and folding those enormous wings, I walked on all fours like the beast I’d become and gazed at my reflection. The forest made me a satyr, and the mountains claimed me as a dragon. The irony stung quite a bit.”

Overdone? Yeah... maybe. Anyway This is Otto’s transformation into a fire dragon, I wrote in first person as part of an excerpt from his journal he writes after he changed back. There’s no year because all of my dating systems have been stupid or not successful.

It’s been a while since I drew a dragon tf of my own accord, most have since been for commissions, but I hope I’m not completely out of practice just yet.

Very nice, looks really well done. I like how you did the armour becoming the scales, and I think that idea alone is pretty neat, as well.

That bright yellow works really well with the bright orange, I think! The black markings on him stand out awesomely, too. I like how his hair trails all the way down his spine, as well.
