But I feel like the blur is a bit too strong, even though this is an older piece it's still a personal favourite of mine of your art! :'D

You know you don't always have to blur the picture! Normally it's only really fast or really close up items/things that have some blur. ^^Β
Perhaps try using some orange sometime, and practicing on backgrounds more, more detail etc. I think more neutral colors might be nice for once! Maybe orange or green. Using less dull colors at first and brightening them up by adding effects at the end of the drawing.

But yeah, I think that if you try and experiment with new backgrounds then you're art will be perfect! Really I find no problem in the characters, their lineart, shading, coloring is all phenomenal! :'DΒ
