Wow this one took forever and a day.The lineart came from the TLM book series, Green Eyed Pearl. Here, Pearl got a little cocky and swam too close to a ship - where there just happened to be a net handy.
You'd think most mermaids would be smart enough to stay away from humans. Apparently the risk was too exciting to pass up.
So now, Ariel has to cut the rope - the sharp clam will do the job, but hopefully before the humans discover what they've caught.
Seriously took 6 months to do this thing. Glad its finally done.

Funny, in the TLM television show all of the humans were depicted as fairly bumbling, except for the reprisal of characters from the movie (like Grimsby and Eric, who made a few appearances.)

Fools! There are two different Pearls. One that is blue while the other is pink. Also the pink is a child of a noble while the other is from a normal family.

I don't have "Green-Eyed Pearl" anymore (...okay, it was my sister's book), but I would swear that her tail was pink on the book cover, yet everyone I talk to insists that in the TV series her tail was blue. Who goofed up, and which is the official coloring??

You know, you're probably right that her tail should be pink - but in the TV series her tail WAS blue (assuming it is the same Pearl.) Though they do seem alike... I figured I'd just go with the coloring in the TV series (I didn't look at the cover of the book.)
