Yeah, I get it that it's a tool and honestly I think it can be handy. But this attitude of treating all art like it's public domain to train an AI to do automated processes of is a huge concern. I don't care if you make AI for personal reasons - there are plenty of weird and cool things to play with on the internet and the concept of being able to generate images is cool and weird. But unless there is some sort of regulation now or protections of artists to at least have the ability to be consented to being scraped we are going to see massive abuses for it.

"But AI Engines take from everyone" - Yes and no, with the way AI Generators work you can train an AI to mimic a specific artists and/or groups of artists. That being said, what is to stop a T Shirt or Print Company from employing an AI to scan particular artists libraries to mass produce automated manipulation of their assets.

If you wondered why just NOW people are up in arms about it, look at what Lensa did with their "Magic Avatar" service.

AI Art is only going to get better, and scammers are ready at the starting line to say "Well it's technically not stealing..." and hide behind any loophole they can. If you really care about wanting to see where AI art can ethically coexist with Human Art, then before you bash, bully, or hate on every artist posting this image. Maybe just try to understand why people are actually legitimately upset and worried and wanting action to take place.
