Description
I'm not fully sure how many I'll be able to crank out this month, but I thought I'd get the Halloween Poster Pastiche ball rolling for a second year in a row with some silly mock-horror posters! Starting off with a 40s/50s horror-comedy genre, this one's 100% a ripoff of Abbott & Costello Meet Frankenstein. As usual with these old pics, it's fun to work on a more painting-like style for the background (with an added bobblehead effect of the main duo here). The boys of Goof's ensure that things are just as ominous as they are goofy!
Abbott & Costello Meet Frankenstein belongs to its respective owners and creators. Kickline and its characters belong to me. As does the artwork.
Comments and suggestions welcome.

I can tell you had fun with this one, Rich. Stellar job on the winding staircase layout as well as the painting style, it certainly adds to the old-timey feel of this. Your cast are all looking the part too of course.

It was fun trying to recreate a similar atmosphere like the original poster I based this on. Many thanks for the comment here, pal.

Haha, I did go and look up the original poster and this is a great homage!
You've captured the spirit but added enough of your own charm to make it it's own. Good job!

Yeah, this poster in particular was the most reliant on a singular existing movie, but this one was one of the most prominent examples of βmonster movies in a comedic light.β Either way, Iβm glad you could enjoy the homage as well as my silly characters as well. Many thanks, Scott.

Yes, Abbott and Costello did have some comedic affairs with the Universal monsters long ago that's for sure.

Hahaha, I'm just glad I could at least produce the poster for this in the movie's absence. Thanks a bunch for the kind words, pal!

Great job on this, especially the layout what with those tricky stairs. A lot of fun just to look at!

Yeah, stairs are always a tricky situation, but thankfully the poster laid out a pretty good framework to work upon for this one. Thanks a lot for the comment and support, AM!

I like the painterly style you used here and the composition and colours are really sweet too! Plus J-Les can pull off the moustache look!

The earlier horror movie posters always fascinated me with their colorful imagery (both in terms of the art itself and the character designs). I'm glad you could enjoy this tribute to that era. It's a challenge, but a challenge I enjoy trying out. Thanks a lot!
