Description My last tribute to the 1920s, and it might as well be an auto-related one! This one's more of a twist, since it's the 20s looks well into the 1950s, where an old jalopy like a Ford Model T becomes a hot-rodding Bucket T... or they're just stuck in the past. Surely the 50s will never succumb to a dated fate like those 1920s squares, right daddy-o???

The Ford Model T belongs to Ford. Kickline and its characters belong to me. So does the artwork.

Comments and suggestions welcome. Enjoy!

My Grandaddy used to make drag race cars out of 30s roadsters during the 1950s. I know, the 30s were a decade ahead of the 20s.
Anyway, I still can't get over how great you are at drawing vehicles! I can tell drawing them is one of your passions.

Hahaha, nice! My dad was pretty focused on 60s and 70s hot rods here, but I enjoy the 20s and 30s stuff as well. Thanks a bunch for the input!

You're welcome! Yep, my Dad was like your Dad in that way too. I agree, all old cars are cool

I like the "pot calling the kettle black" humor in this one.

I had fun with all aspects of the pic, humor included. Thanks for the comment.

J-Les will eat those words, I'm sure. The contrast between both the fashions and cars makes this all the more effective, well done Rich.

I love the exaggerated shape of the Model T but it's especially weird to see such old imagery in colour! I expect it to all be black and white!

And once again, nice little almost-hidden detail with the licence plate!

It's a good point with the b&w presentation there. I guess I wanted this to be more of the 20s coming into the late-50s/early-60s colorized scene. Either way, the super-upright take on the original T was an interesting experiment to try out for automotive cartooning.

Thanks, Scott!

Wow great job on those cars! You've really nailed their distinct looks with all those details. Love the narrative here too! (And nice numberplate on J-les' car there)

Hahaha, good to see you pick up on those little details as well. Thanks a lot for the comment, it was a good challenge to work on for a week or so.

Technically true!  I suppose it's a matter of their perspective, and perhaps ours too, haha

Aaaah gosh I really like how well you draw these cards, the detail you put into the older models is very impressive!

They were quite the challenge this time around, but I was happy to work though this one. Thanks a lot for the input and support here!

Good to see you drawing a hot rod with an exposed V8 Engine.
Keep it up!

Wow, I love those vintage cars! You did an excellent job on them! The attention to detail is also spiffy! You're also getting much better with composition! I love how J-Les taunts both Trish and Rosey. XD Excellent work done!
