the final design of the advent! a halloween halv!! i always love having the chance to design one of these guys, it's fun to try out things a bit different from what i normally go for. i really enjoyed working on them so much!!! and i love getting the chance to do big fancy art for designs i concept months ago.
There were many inspirations and ideas that went into this design! But this would get sooo long if I listed out every detail :,D
thank you to everyone who participated in the events and sales, and to everyone who decided to support me on patreon this month! it has been a massive help and a huge motivator for getting through the workload this season has given me so far. i will sleep soon, so until next time...

Halv Mask: A layer of shadow they forms over their own face. The eyes are actually projections created from their perception magic that allow them to "see" vague shapes and auras in bright colors.

Optional Ideas:
--> I imagined them as a descendant of the original hero of flame that battled against demons a thousands of years ago. That very hero is the one that Candleblight was created to honor. However, being part of such a family line has left them and anything they do feel overshadowed by the burden of such an important lineage.
--> Perhaps they sought out the strength becoming a halv would bring them, so they could use it to fulfill the expectations placed on their shoulders and to better combat creatures from the void. Or maybe they found themself in terrible state, broken down by those expectations, so they became like the monsters they once swore to defeat.
--> In halv form they would be very hot to the touch, and quite large! Towering over most other browbirds. The flames that once made up their crest and magic now consume their body, and burn brighter in many colors while in a heightened emotional state.
--> Their monstrous arm can look more normal, or more nightmarish than shown. Often times it takes on a large claw with many moving bug-like blades that grow from it. Imagine them attacking with that thing!
--> When in halv form, they cast multiple shadows. They can control these to attack, but when in a passive state they look like many people holding hands. Perhaps it represents the family line, or something else?

god the colors on this bird are phenomenal and the halv design is soooo unique i adore the blues and i love the shadows that look like browbirds just AHHH everything about this design is perfect, what a dreamy
