I thought the same thing, it kind of has a vintage quality about it that I can't quite put my finger on which is weird considering you see people holding iPhones and modern clothing. I think it might be the color of the image (which I didn't change or alter in the slightest)

I thought the same thing. Driving around the south west was tough. Everything was far away from everything else and it seems inhospitable. My nose bled every morning, my throat was dry and filled with dust, and my lips chapped like crazy... I certainly couldn't live there. But it was very beautiful at times.
