Description
This is how I imagine what would have happened if Church wasn't an AI and was still a ghost. Since he is a ghost, he can't stay on earth and he has to go to heaven or else he will be trapped on earth and go insane (kind of like hollows in Bleach lol ). Caboose is confused and doesn't know where Church is going, but Church knows and he tells Caboose that they won't meet again for a long time, hoping that Caboose has a longer life than he did.
Even though Caboose killed Church to begin with, Church forgives him. I also imagine for the sake of the story below, that Church's ghost from can be solid if he chooses or he's possessing another robot.

"Church you forgot your sniper riffle!" I hear Caboose say as I watch him run over to me, balancing the gun in his arms. I had been thinking for a while now how I would tell Caboose that I'm leaving. I knew that ghosts don't last forever on earth and if they did, they'd turn into a monstrous shadow of their former selves.
Caboose finally caught up to me. I have to tell him.
" I uhhh....didn't forget it Caboose, I left it there...on purpose." I was staring at the riffle and glanced up at Caboose, "We need to talk."
"We are talking. " He responds, but I can tell he's confused. I laughed, "Yes, we are." I shifted my position a bit. "But I need to tell you something....I can't stay. "
"....What?"
Even with a helmet on, I can tell Caboose is heartbroken. I've never heard him sound so serious before. I hesitate before continuing. I'm not sure that Caboose even knows exactly what happened to me....even though he was the cause.
"As you may or may not be aware, I'm a ghost. Ghosts can't stay on earth forever Caboose...." I start. Caboose looks me up and down, probably confused as to why ghosts can't stay on earth. He finally asks,
"Where are you going?" His tone of voice sounding a bit sad now.
"I'm going where Tex is. I'm going where we won't be able to see eachother for a while. " My voice starts to fail, but I continue. "it will be a long time, but I'll be waiting for you. " I picture Caboose coming to the gates of Heaven and me standing there, waiting to be the first to greet him. I can't picture him dying.....not yet. That's why I told him it'd be a while. After minutes of silence, Caboose asks another question. A question I don't want to answer...
"Is this the part where we say goodbye? " He slowly asks, realizing that I'm not coming back this time...
"Nah....I hate goodbye." I've had to say it too many times before. He lowered his head, but I tried to get his attention one last time.
"Caboose, you're in charge of remembering me again, okay?" He looks up at me.
"Okay..." He says quietly. I can tell he's on the verge of tears so I stop talking. I gave him a pat on the shoulder and turned around. Right before I leave, I felt someone grab me into a hug. Caboose didn't let go, so I hugged him back. I could hear him choking back sobs as we parted. I waved and saw him wave slowly back, saying our last goodbye.
