Dear friends,Allow me to present you with the graphical instructions for my contest #26 as announced in my journal here: agetian.deviantart.com/journal…
The contest is an allusion to the history of personal computers - in particular, the early history of videocards which only allowed to use a highly limited amount of colors to produce pictures. The so called color graphics adapter (CGA) was able to use only four colors at a time (and their brighter counterparts), and the enhanced graphics adapter (EGA) was able to use no more than 16 specific colors at a time in most common resolutions.
This contest will run from September 21, 2013 till October 31, 2013.
THE CONTEST IS NOW CLOSED. WE ARE IN THE PROCESS OF JUDGING THE ENTRIES.
The initial prize for all three top places is 400
, but this value may grow later with prize pool donations. The special prize for the "fourth place" is 100, and a participation donation for anybody who enters the contest and submits a valid entry according to the submission guidelines above within the timeframe of the contest is 20.Other rules in addition to the ones mentioned in the instructions:
- You are only allowed to draw an original character (which may be a fan character or a fully original character) that you own. Using someone else's character is not allowed.
- All deviations submitted to this competition must be submitted according to DeviantART submission guidelines. Anything that is prohibited on DeviantART is obviously strictly prohibited in this contest. Anyone breaking this rule will be disqualified.
- All submitted pictures must be brand new work drawn specifically for the competition. Any derivative work, including reworked or recolored pictures, used with or (especially) without permission, is strictly prohibited in this contest. Anyone breaking this rule will be disqualified.

well said to use 4 colors in the palette corresponding
but there are 8, for each pallette then, ¿use only 4 colors corresponding palette dividing in half?

Yep, for picture 2 there are, technically speaking, 8 colors (4 colors each of which has two shades). You can use either one half of them or use both halves if you need, it's OK to use the entire palette.
