Happy to see I influenced someone. But it's true. I mean, society (and some men) expect women to look like a certain stereotype, and it's very sickening. How come guys can look like slobs and nobody will say anything, but when a female looks like that those same sloppy men and other women criticize her for not looking "graceful" or "feminine" or "well kept". I've been looking at gothic modeling sites and I must say I'm glad to see an alternative form of beauty out there that doesn't fit society's standard of what women should look like.

But anyway, sorry for the rant! I looked at this piece and it just made me cringe. I like how fragile she seems in that pose, and those textures are great. I love the "gallows humor" this has, and the parody-type of body copy you added at the bottom. And it's truly amazing how easily influenced people are by advertising and the media. I should know, I'm a graphic designer! Great piece and awesome work.

Heh if models walked down a runway with a fetus bag made from real fetus o and if MTV did ads and had some of there stars with them then every one would want a dead fetus bag. If TV and mags say don't eat at all. Just ignore the fact it can kill you. Then the mindless masses would do so.. I wish people would shut TV off more. I wish people would think more. I wish women would quit starving them self’s and hating them self because they don't look like the heroin induced model they saw in an ad the other day.

Hmm....I went and saw your friend's work and I have to agree with the both of you too. But it's not just the "makers" of cosmetics or fashion, it's society too. Men drool over skinny girls, girls that are way toooooooo skinny! But look at someone who may weigh 150 lbs as discusting. She could have a beautiful soul but cos she's not 100 lbs. no way. When I saw this piece, my first reaction was that you were making a statement to the "cutters" and I was ing with delight. As what's up with that "cutting crap" and then having to post it? Like if you're so emotionally or unemotional? to do that to yourself, why would you want to share it and call it art? I mean if you were getting molested from your father, would you want to take pictures of that and submit it and call it art? Hmmm.... Ok, I'm off on a tanget.
