Ok, So I have submitted Photography, Digital manips, poetry and graphic design work. There are a few other things I do as well. One of them is web design and the other is a little 3d. You will have to wait for my web site to come out before you can see that side of me but I thought I would post a 3d image. Nothing special and prob one of the very few 3d images you will see by me. My focus here was lighting, textures and rendering. Going for the "real look" Model, unknown.EDIT. Guess I should have said it diff. The skull is not what is to look real. I know skulls are not textured like this. It was the final render. The over all pic. Like a photo The shine on the skull doesn't look real at all lol.Ummmm it's part of a keychain. Yeah, that's it .

Hey Martin, if your goal was to make people think the picture being a photo, you do succeed with me ... from the thumbnail, before reading your description, I thought you were playing with plastic skulls like *greenfaery in her excellent piece "Health" [link]

This is cool, I'd love to learn how to do that. What kind of a program do you use? Do you draw the whole object or do you use a scan and just add bits and pieces or what? LOL So full of questions. Nice work Martin

It's the same program they use in Lord Of The Rings and The Hulk etc...
We are learning it in school. Fun stuff.
Most of the time you can put a drawing in the program on the x and z axis and trace them. But you can also just build your subject shape by shape.

Everything is about good here.

well if your going for a "real" look you should make the skull dirty grimy and old, i haven't seen many shiny skulls, and the shinyness has been way over done in 3d......
