Hello there.
Would you mind if I used this picture as a basis for a film poster for a movie from Garry's Mod (Google it if you don't know what it is)? I jut want to sort of copy the positions of the desk, the person, the objects, and then move the lighting so it looks almost identical.
Would you mind?

It had been a tough day. A day of sweat stained collars and too many stairs to climb. Too many that is for a man jonesing for days when late evening cool breezes were enough to reward you for the all the crap life threw at you day after day. Long shadows of a fading sun seem like brethren to a guy like me. I know 'em. They seem to know me. And its an end of a day when I feel most likely to share with them the final swallow of my best whiskey. Before I head home. Head home and disappear into the night, just like the yellow bands of the sun across my desk.

Wonderful image. For a moment I was like, hmmm, no cigarette or pipe or anything? Then, I noticed the cigar in the ashtray. The whiskey, brandy, scotch? Whatever right? You nailed it for sure. I love this photo.
Cheers

I have always had an interest in film noir. Personally I feel like I was born at the wrong time. I enjoy suits and ties, suspenders and fedoras and the like. The feeling I get from this work is its own beauty. The art of Edward Hopper usually utilized a contrast of light, usually sunlight in a room. The lines of shadows from the shades just ties the whole thing together.
I am not very good at saying what I think, but bravo, this is awesome.

That is exactly the noir I was looking for! <3 the stripes make intense, 'heavy' mood, so characteristic. I love it, I really do.

You do such a magnificent job with photographing the shadows from the blinds. It's something I've attempted several times and not gotten quite right.
That and I just love noir on principle. Ergo, insta-fave!
