Description (Fleshed out and spruced up the old map. Still deciding whether or not I like the ions.)

The World of Oru

Magic, the Blood of the World, is a creative, entropic, transformative energy with limitless potential - a force older than time, the very sinew of existence. Its latent energies are present in all things, but its true power is only fully realized when guided and focused by the presence of sentient minds. Such beings may learn to wield this power as any other tool or weapon, should their minds and bodies be worthy, and their spellcraft tried and true...but it must be drawn from the dangerous crystalline substance known as azurion - raw magic - running in veins beneath the earth.

Primitive shamans have always mapped and utilized the mystical leylines of the world in order to cast their primordial spells, naturally concentrating their power in areas rich and potent with azurion. However, all that changed when the Ancient Ones discovered how to mine and manipulate the substance directly - and, eventually, how to exploit it for all manner of wondrous use. This monumental achievement ushered in the mythical Age of Dreams...and ultimately led to the destruction of their shimmering empire, the corruption of the larger world, and the Long Dark that followed.

Now, at the dawn of a new Age, Oru is a vast continent of many cultures and races, all of them vying for dominance, advancement, or mere survival. This Age of Dominion marks the second great rise of human civilization, a second chance for humanity to find itself...but it also means the long lost secrets of the Ancients - and their existential dangers - are slowly coming to light once more. In turn the wisest minds have also become the most grim, as mankind has never been capable of tempering power with reason.
