My first - and very likely last - fanart for the 'Song of the Lioness' series by Tamora Pierce. I have just started to read the series, I'm currently reading book two (but I already know that Alanna ends up with George at the end of book four). I must admit that when she bedded Jonathan, I felt the whole thing lost its magic. I wanted her to shag George only, because only George deserves it. Now I think she doesn't deserve George. Alanna, you little b*tch, Jonathan is an arrogant jerk compared to George... *shakes head in disbelief*.Anyway, I wanted to draw a George pic (cause he's my fav character, he's über-cool, almost as cool as Nathaniel, Artemis or Harry), and I thought 'oh well, I might draw Alanna too even if I'm not really fond of her...' So there. George and Alanna romancing. Probably takes after the end of book four. *shrugs*

I reckon George was probably my favourite character in this series. But in the Trickster books, you just have to love Kyprioth. Which reminds me; I have to find some fanart for him...

Wie, Tamora Pierce-fanart! I've read pretty much everything from her. But still, though I never would want Alanna with anyone else than George, I think Jonathan is quite allright and he and Thayet is perfect. ^^

If you haven't yet read Trickster's Choice and Trickster's Queen, you should do so immediately. They are both fantastic books. And also have many opportunities for good fanart. Aly x Nawat, for instance... ^_^

George and Alanna all the way! George is the awesomest! (...besides Numair. If he hadn't gotten with Daine, he would've been MINE.) I mean, Thayet has to end up with somebody. And if there were no George and Al, there'd be no Ali.
It's great to see other Tortall fans out there. Seriously, there are not enough Tamora Pierce lovers in my neighborhood...

Now what are the odds of that? It's been a couple of years since I thought of you*, and then on a search for Tortall fanart (In particular, Duke Roger WHO NO ONE EVER FREAKING DRAWS), I find you again. Heh.
I have to disagree with you on Alanna, though. Jon can be a jerk, but she just hadn't realized it quite yet. And, as you already know, she listens to common sense at the end. ^_^
Also, I seem to recall you being a fan of Aladdin. Did you ever watch the TV series, or was it even available to you? I ask only because I've recently become obsessed with it. Or rather, nine specific episodes. Who knew Disney could create an awesome villain like Mozenrath?
*No offense, it's just that I haven't read AF fanfiction at all, and as for HP...Well...It took a few years, but the slash fangirls got me. Honestly, they need warning labels about how addictive it is.

Which HP fic of mine did you read? I don't find slash addictive at all. Actually, it still grosses me out. I've read a few, but never managed to get into it. For me a healthy romance is between a man and a woman (or boy/girl).
Yes, I saw the Aladdin TV series, over ten years ago. I still have at least 20 episodes on video. I don't like Mozenrath, though. I liked the episodes in which Iago got a more or less important role. Iago's my fav cartoon character EVER.

I think I read all of them. I was the one who left those really annoying reviews where I copy and pasted all my favorite lines and left comments on them.
At least, I think I was annoying. Anyway, if that doesn't ring a bell, I'm the one you taught the phrase "Legyenek banánok a füledben!" to.
I've noticed that I tend to like villains a lot, so perhaps that explains my obsession with Mozenrath. There's also the fact that his voice actor also played in Neverending Story 2, which was one of my favorite movies when I was younger. I have a weird obsession with voice actors.
Of course, when I start to like something, I get completely addicted to it for a few weeks. This may or may not have something to do with my OCD.

I adore George. He was my favorite character since the first book. I hated that Alanna got involved with Jon and that Liam character. *shakes head* Very pointless, I think.

Love it! Alanna sure did get arround. I almost died when they introduced a third love interest in the fourth book. The whole George vs. John thing was perfect, why did they need Liam or whatever his name was. I'm so glad she ended up with George, but man... she was one fickle girl.

I don't know. Their reasoning is lost on me. The only thing I liked about Liam was his eyes and honestly the author could have saved them for a much more meaningful character. Anyway, I was pulling for George from book one. His interactions with Alanna were a heck of a lot more fun than Johnathan's or Liams. Kissing her while her hands were full was a nice touch. She totally didn't disserve him and it's kind of lame how he changed his entire lifestyle to be with her, when she was messing around with all these other guy, but oh well. I still loved the books.

I thought Alanna was a bitch. George was simply too good for her. Too forgiving. She really didn't deserve his love. I wish I met a guy who loved me as unconditionally as George loves Alanna *sigh*

Agi does Tortall fanart too? Nice...And by the way, the other series are actually better than the Alanna ones. I think Alanna is just a bit too...arrogant? I defiantely think you'd enjoy the sequel series's though, especially since the writing itself is better. Plus, not as much Alanna, which should make you happy.
And further corrections-- The main charecter in Protector of the Small's name is Kel, not Kit...

I see your point there. I had read your description on one of your pictures- I think it was the one with Kitty crying and holding the amulet with Nat in the backround- so I already knew he was going to die, so I was prepared. It was sad, obviously, but he died a very honorable death. If that comforts you at all.

I knew he died as a hero, but no, it doesn't comfort me. The only thing that comforts me is that I can imagine that book three never happened. For this purpose I'm writing an AU fanfic that is based on the first two books only, and in it Nat lives and though he has to suffer a lot, he ends up with Kitty in the end and they live happily ever after

I must admit I'm not looking forward to it too much. Sure, I will buy it and read it when it comes out, but knowing that my favourite character dies, I'm not too eager to read it.
