Love the simplicity and the use of chine colle. The little brayer image is nice too.

Thanks Joanna! Using chine colle is very practical because you can add a bit of colour to one-plate print (so you can have three or more colours: ink from the plate, paper and chine colle ) How it works: just when your plate is ready to print you take thin pieces of colour paper (can be tissue), dampen them and put the glue on; next you place them on your plate with the glue facing up; then you put your paper on top and run the whole thing through the press. The only difficult thing about chine colle is that it needs to be thin and before you put it on the plate it needs to be dampened to take the glue nicely. When the paper you print on dries, it shrinks and so do the chine colle bits. Things that may happen: the glue is to week and the chine colle comes off after the print dries; the paper is so thin that the chine colle tears when you lift your print from the plate. Anyway, you should try it on your own and don't be discouraged when it doesn't work straight away! Hope my explanation is not confusing ... For sure it's loooooong

Great print. Is the blue a chine colle?

Cheers Illucieon! Yeah, the blue bits and the yellow circle are chine colle (= bits of paper that I glued with wheat paste).
