Description
Shai-Hulud, Old Man of the desert. With some unfortunate Fremen in the way.These guys were what attracted me to the whole thing in the first place.

Love that guy's vision, love his illustrations, love everything.
Not satisfied with it, but unsure of how to make it better.
Comment/critique/feedback. Seriously. I really need some.

Man, I find the Dune books in most libraries. Sad to say i've only read the Frank herbert original but I'm pretty knowledgeable of the universe in general, being a 40k fa.

Reminds me vaguely of the Pit of Carkoon from Star Wars Episode VI. Also I agree with the previous commenter, the colouring/shading is really good

It's good, but now when I look at it I think the right side doesn't seem to have as much depth as the left. The left side really sees to pop out, but on the right side the shadows kind of flatten the details a bit. Maybe a bit of dodging around the edges of the mouth(?) would help? Don't take my word on it though, I'm not an art expert
