He looks like a very conservative, set in his ways kind of person.....except for the oversize nude painting hanging on his wall. More to him than that first impression! Really well done!

Clever observation. In a way, I think I played with the opposite conservative/nudism.
I think that, in a way, or the portrait or the old man is a dream of the other, or a remembration of the past, somthing like that.
