Description
It was late afternoon by the time the damages and repairs made to the property around the main housing area after the horrid winter storm.

The stray horses had be rounded up and placed in more suited pasture land while fences were being mended. A few of the staff had tacked up several horses and loaded up a truck with repair equipment and head off into the more distant fields to check on and mend any fencing that may have been damaged. That left Candace, Tommy, White and few other hands around the main area to finish things up.

White and Tommy has just finished patching up the corner of the foaling barn that had been knocked in by the hefty willow tree when it had come down. They had used tarps, two by fours and chip board to make the necessary repairs to keep the elements out of the building until they could get the proper supplies to fix it right. Tommy was just finishing up restoring the power to the barn while White went to check on Candace.

Candace hadn't gone very far from the big stall containing the hototo mare she had nicked named Nessie and her her new foal. She had moved a bale of straw to side out side the sliding stall door keeping an eye on the giant horse and yet not being the way. Although Nessie had foal well, she still breathing fun and had only gotten up long enough to feed the little colt at her side. Candace jumped in surprise at the hand that suddenly fell on her right shoulder. Smiling upon finding that it was the head that belonged to White she stated. "It's not nice to sneak up on people."

White smiled with his friendly mile long grin and spoke in his western drawl accent. "Sorry didn't mean to give you a start. How's she doing by the way?" he asked sympathetically known that Candace was taking this hard seeing their only hototo mare not doing well. "Hey," he grinned as he spoke "Why don't we head into the house and get something to drink and warm you up. I'm sure she'll be fine. Beside you look like you could use a break." Candace frowned at the thought of leaving her post but reluctantly gave her head a nodded as she stood up. "Sure sounds like a plan."
"Good." White stated as he slid the stall door closed with heavy clang from the catching latch, he then turned and began to lead the way from the barn.

Candace started behind him pausing once to glance back at the dark stall where the fair blue-green and blue souls could be seen in the cool air. She heard White's and Tommy's voices as White explained the plan to the vampire whom was still wiring the barn for power and then leaving the vampire to his chore he motioned for Candace to hurry up and get moving.

It wasn't too long after they had entered the house that White a made a couple of meals for all those coming and going from the house in buzz of the busy after noon. He served Candace a steaming and himself a black coffee before finally being able to sit down at the table with the Candace, the owner of the stables, and relax a bit. White drummed up some conversation between the two and before long a half hour had passed and the cups of tea and coffee were emptied.

White stood up and made his way to the counter to pour himself another coffee. He was just about to head back tot he table when the phone rang. Sighing he placed his cup back down on the counter as he snatched up the phone quickly.
he talked for a bit and then a sudden smile appeared on his tanned features as he hung up the phone.

Candace cocked a brow at his sudden change in mood and couldn't help but ask. "So who and what?"

White took raised his cup to his lips and took a long drink as he leaned back against the counter top. "Well," He started as he lowered his cup back to the counter. "Tommy was who and the what, well the what is a new foal." Candace blinked a little shocked at the new of a new foal. "Really? But no one's supposed to foal again for another week. So who foaled early?"

White shook his head at her comment "More like who foaled twice."
"Twice?" Candace asked.
He nodded has he vaguely answered. "Apparently it's a nice little girl, good strong and healthy with a lovely green glow to off set the blue in the stall."

"Oh my gosh!" Candace remarked as she quickly stood up knocking the chair over backwards. "She had a twin!"
Again White nodded withe mile long grin. "Tommy says looks like her mom, and both babes and mom are doing well. Nessie is even up and eating her hay and oats now. And Tommy instructs you get some rest. You can see them later, he'll take of things now." With that he ushered Candace to the living room of the house and had her take a seat on the couch. "Rest." He instructed a final time before adding as he left the room. "I've got work to do, but I'll take a peek on the new little ones." And with that he was gone, leaving Candace to utter a final word before sinking back into the couch in thought with a shrug. "Twins."
