Holy Background!!! XDI've decided I want to be able to draw backgrounds... x3 I get really depressed over the fact that I can't draw them
so I'm trying it out... and since I want to get better at them, I enabled the critique thingy.All (c) *Nai-Akari

I have to say this is well done Nai, however I do believe that there can be some improvement here.
Your vision is quite nice, but does need some fixing here and there. I do enjoy it, but it seems a bit too monotone. However, I do believe that the dripping glow-stuff looks great and feels as though it were moss of some sort.
The technique is good, but seems a tad bland near the tree. The fog or mist, seems to take over towards the back of the tree, it kind of removes some of the feeling of it. I won't say that it's bad, no far from it; however it feels too clouded and makes the scene seem less mystical, if you will.
The impact did startle me at first, but when I look at it closely, it starts to lack some of it. It's well done, though there are parts, that I've mentioned, that seem to put it down overall.
Overall, a well done piece of work, and I think that if you work on it more you will succeed.

Monotoning is one of my weakness XD see I have almost a dislike for over contrasting (with very dark colours along a bright one as the acception) and bright colours

It's a wonderful peice of art.
I love how it glows and it's not an overly glowed picture.
It's very Original and the technique is wonderful.
I love how the grass is still and look like their all seperate and not together in a big massive blob.
The water looks clear and also wavy like the real thing would.
The stars actually look real and far away. Makes me feel like I' actually there.
To me there are no bad words to describe to thins. It's just a wonderful draging done by a wonderful artist like you.

I say this is done amazingly.
I love how the area is is different tones of blue and the way there is stars but not to many.
My favorite part is how the sky goes. Like first blue then gets darker and darker.
And how it is superb for digital art.

Very mystic~ Kittygirl may have a good point, but I love the feel of monotone~ The glow from the tree really gives a cooling effect~... And epic touch with the water~
